At Elgin Community College (ECC), you can apply anytime, but we recommend submitting your application at least one semester before you plan to start. Applying early gives you more time to complete placement, meet with an advisor, and choose from the best selection of classes.

You can still apply up until the first week of classes, but some courses may be full or have limited availability by then.
