What kinds of assistance can students receive at Wellness Services? 197 views

well-being support professional help

Currently enrolled students have multiple options available to schedule an appointment with a Wellness Professional at ECC. Our Wellness Services office also offers several different groups each semester, to help students meet others and provide mental health support for each other. You can connect with these offices directly to learn more about these opportunities, or you can connect with the Dean of Students office (DeanOfStudents@elgin.edu, Building B, suite B 105) to explore all the opportunities available at ECC.

  • One-on-One Sessions: Students can meet individually with a Wellness Professional to address psychosocial issues affecting their academic performance.

  • Crisis Intervention: Students experiencing emotional crises, such as suicidal thoughts, assault, hallucinations, or the loss of a loved one, can see a Wellness Professional for immediate support.

  • Support Groups, Seminars, and Workshops: Students can participate in various group sessions, seminars, and workshops designed to provide additional support and resources.

All scheduled counseling sessions are confidential and HIPAA compliant. Students can schedule a Wellness Services Appointment or email at studentwellness@elgin.edu.
