financial aid Scholarships

Students interested in financial aid, including scholarships, work-study, and military benefits, should contact the Financial Aid & Scholarships Office. Whether you are enrolled in online or traditional classes, the financial aid process is the same. Students are encouraged to complete the financial aid process by the following priority dates for each semester: Summer: April 1; Fall: July 1; Spring: November 1. If you need help completing your FAFSA, stop by the Financial Aid & Scholarships Office in Building B, Room B156, and we will be happy to assist you. Remote assistance is also available. For questions or to schedule an appointment, call us at 847-214-7360 or email financialaid@elgin.edu. See all of the 2023-2024 forms online. To get started, here is the ECC Institutional Aid Application. All students must complete this form after completing the FAFSA online in order for ECC to award financial aid.

The Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid is accessible for the 2023-2024 academic year through the following links: English and Spanish. Undocumented students and transgender students meeting the criteria of the Retention of Illinois Students and Equity (RISE) Act may file this application.
